Warranties

Due to aging and parts hard to get or no longer available, our warranty terms have changed.

Our New Warranty will be determined  by age and, on some models, by part availability.

One year on units that are not older than 10 years old.
Six months on units that are over 10 years but less than 20 years old.
90 days on units that are over 20 years old or if obtaining parts is a problem.

  1. During the warranty period, all labor is covered.
  2. Parts we installed are covered during the warranty period.
  3. During the warranty period, if a part fails we did not install, your cost is only for the part(s).


Remember:
Warranty covers only parts that fail due to normal wear and tear. Missing, broken or physically damaged parts are not covered. Electrical surges, operator errors and vandalism are not normal failures and are not covered.

Out of Bag Failures will only be considered during the warranty period. You must call in our return this unit during this time period to receive consideration regarding your request. If a unit needs an expensive part and you turn it down, then no adjustments will be allowed. Remember, every unit is checked a second time before it leaves our shop. Units usually don’t just quit working. Every failure has a reason.

No Extensions and No Exceptions!

Freight Charges

During the warranty period, freight charges (both ways) will be the responsibility of the customer. It is always the customer’s responsibility to get the unit in for warranty work. If the unit is returned within the first 30 days from the warranty sticker date, Rapid Repair will pay the return freight charges only if a problem is found in the unit. If no problem is found, then a check-out charge will be invoked for any of the following reasons – no fault found or operator’s error – and freight charges will be the responsibility of the customer.

Rapid Repair 2001, Inc., reserves the right to select carrier/ground.

Please Note: Advance replacement or tradeouts are no longer available.

The following will likely result in an additional charge:

  • Drop shipment
  • Requested carrier or special request (handling charge)
  • Residential shipment (proof of delivery, signature required and insurance)
  • C.O.D. shipment, available at the discretion of Rapid Rapid 2001

 

WARRANTY WORK WILL NOT BE HONORED ON ANY ACCOUNT THAT HAS A PAST DUE BALANCE
